Jeanette and Gene's friend Adam has passed away back in their home town. The two return home for the first time in a long while for the funeral, both not having seen one another in many years. Adam and Gene were both love interests of Jeanette's, and therefore much awkwardness ensues when Jeanette and Gene are reunited for the funeral.
