Expecto Patronum

Closing her eyes and taking in a deep breath, thoughts of a certain happy kiss in mind, the Gryffindor raised her ebony wand and spoke the spell with assured determination, "Expecto Patronum!" The silvery eagle erupted from the tip of her wand, blazing through the night with supernatrual ease and speed, its light devouring all cold and wicked darkness.

Bio:
Roz was born the same year as Harry Potter, 1980. She was one of the first people to ever confuse the Sorting Hat, in that she possessed attributes like that of every House -- she was sly and tricky like a Slytherin, she was clever and wise-beyond-her-years like a Ravenclaw, she was sweet and charming like a Hufflepuff, and she was just and adventuresome like a Gryffindor. Sitting with the Sorting Hat on her head her first year, Roz could hear it speak in her mind and all she could think about through its confused chatter was how much she longed to be in Gryffindor. Reading her thoughts was more than enough to give the Sorting Hat all the information it needed for placing her in a House. She was then proclaimed a Gryffindor.

Rozalin is from Godric's Hollow and is daughter to Nox Rhymes, who was Gryffindor before her, and Verity Rhymes, a Raveclaw in her time. She has a brother who is 4 years younger, Vance, who, when accepted to Hogwarts, was sorted into Slytherin. Despite his cruel pranks and not-so-admirable jokes, Roz has always looked out for her younger brother and has always felt a sort of yearning to be the guardian big sister she knows she can be. He, on the other hand, apparently sees her as a nuisance. Roz's father, Nox, knew and was somewhat close to James Potter, though he shared little in common with him. Nox was quiet and rather mysterious as a boy at Hogwarts. Handsome though he was, he never attempted to firt with any of the girls and spent most of his time on the grounds, either by the lake, or secretly exploring the Forbiddon Forest. That's how Rozalin's mother met him. Verity, a very witty and clever girl, had been studying for an exam outside one day near the lake when she spotted Nox who was, at the time, skipping stones over the water. Taking a break from her studies, she started a little rock-skipping competition with him and ended up winning. From then on, the two became very close. Now as adults and parents, Verity and Nox are responsibe, caring, and loving towards their two children, but grow ever more concerned about their youngest, Vance, whom they've entrusted Roz to look over for them when they're not around.

At the age of just 13, Rozalin was a registered Animagus. Like all Animagi, she took an animal form which best represented her inner nature -- her longing for blissful freedom, her obsession with night, her yearning for a quick and safe escape route in times of trouble, and her absolute love of flying. Roz becomes a bat, a Pallid Bat, when she so chooses. Often times when things are really troubling her, the Gryffindor will, instead of sitting up in bed thinking things over, change into her bat form and go for a flight. It's the best way, she has found, to cool down and forget about all her worries. She has also used this form to eavesdrop on a few students and teachers in the past. Roz has even turned into her bat form once to escape Dementors.

As a student at Hogwarts, Roz is very gifted at Charms and loves and is devoted to Care of Magical Creatures. She is an avid animal-lover and enjoys a good, fair duel every now and then. Her favorite teacher, Professor Flitwick, is very happy with her natural magical gifts and has taken a bit of a liking to her. Roz is also quite decent at Quidditch and plays a Keeper. Quidditch is more of a fun pasttime though, and she rarely takes it all that seriously. Although competitive, this is more-so directed towards her magic ability and less towards her skills on a broom. An above average witch, Roz is still humble and pleasant towards all and is always up for an adventure.
